As an interior design consultant, I will work with you to define your own personal style and design your home around your personality, your specific lifestyle needs, and your budget. I bring a host of quality craftsmen and specialists to the project to ensure a smooth and enjoyable process from start to finish.
Together, we can draw inspiration from varied life experiences, such as from your travels, a treasured family heirloom, pictures in a book or magazine, from artwork, or from colors in nature, for example. Inspiration comes in many forms and can be the beginning of the creative process, no matter what style you prefer.
My background:
My first experience as a designer was as a hobby seamstress, where I designed and created unique clothing and window treatments. Sewing taught me how to select the appropriate fabrics and materials for a project and how to construct an item for long lasting quality.
I was formally educated in art and design at the International Academy of Merchandising and Design, Tampa, FL, where I receive an Associates of Arts Degree in Interior Design, graduating Summa Cum Laude, in 1998.
After graduation, I worked under an interior designer from New York City as a designer/illustrator. I designed furniture and accessories, and drew 3-D architectural perspectives. I gained experience presenting concepts to clients though my drawings and designs.
I later relocated to Minneapolis to work as a Senior Designer for Gabberts Furniture and Design. I gained a tremendous education on furniture and design in that position.
In 2004, I moved back to Florida to be a Design Consultant for Robb & Stucky Interiors in Fort Myers.
In April 2007, I started my own interior design company, Raine Interiors.
I also work with the Design Referral Service located at the International Design Center in Estero.
What I love the most about my field of endeavor is that I have met so many wonderful people; both clients and others in the industry, and I get to do what I love the most----DESIGN!
